What you will be doing
Albertsons Companies is rapidly expanding in its digital offerings and is in need for a ReactJS developer to join the fast growing, consumer facing Health & Wellness, with responsibility over the customer facing web applications. Our website is used by thousands of people every day. The right candidate should be able to understand and execute on digital transformation strategies, by creating best in class technical solutions while working across technical teams.
The position will be based in Plano Texas, Seattle, WA, OR, Pleasanton CA.
Main responsibilities
• Hands on code writing and doing code reviews
• Evaluates complex user requests, projects, and clarifies objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs
• Improves/sustains embedded system software using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise
• Conducts and prepares feasibility studies for new applications and/or existing ones and makes decisions within general parameters under little supervisions
• Demonstrates standards to deliver high-quality products and services; models adherence to quality standards for more junior employees
• Focus on quality in all aspects of work; Follows established standards of excellence and also continues to strive on improving them.
• Participates in the hiring process (by submitting referrals, meeting candidates, attending recruiting events, presenting externally, writing blogs)
• Contributes to team activities and collaborates within all teams within/across domains to solve problems.
• Has deeper understanding of quality standards and guides others
What we are searching for
• 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience
•8+ years of hands-on programming and integration experience in Java/J2EE.
•Experience in spring, spring boot and spring JPA - strongly preferred.
•Experience in spring restful services - strongly preferred.
•Experience in Java reactive programming – nice to have
•Strong technical skills in JDK 8 features. - strongly preferred.
•Experience in microservices - strongly preferred.
•Experience in spring webflux and mono - strongly preferred.
•Significant experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is required.
•Experience in No-SQL and in-memory DB (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis...) is strongly preferred.
•Experience in Microsoft Azure, Pivotal, DevOps, and CI/CD tools and processes is strongly preferred.
•Experience in high-performance and high-frequency data streaming (using Kafka etc.)
•Experience in Jira and Confluence is strongly preferred.
•Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices.
•Strong emphasis on Testing, Quality, and Automation
•Strong ability to decompose a broad-level business requirement into technical implementation.
•Ability to mentor and guide development team members.
•Strong organization skills with good interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
•Strong experience building consumer-facing solutions and building applications on the public cloud.
•Deep knowledge of scalability, security, and maintainability of high-volume Internet applications
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•Ability to communicate and drive highly complex technology solutions to broad audiences within and outside of IT.
•Ability to define solutions from very high-level business ideas.
•Ability to work independently.
