Java And Spring Lead Software Engineer

As a Full Stack Java/React Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management sector, you will be an integral part of an agile team that is responsible for enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a developing member of a Software Engineering team, you will implement software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for growth within your role.

Job responsibilities

• Lead solution design and implementation efforts across various platform and client experience aspects
• Foster an environment prioritizing quality delivery and promoting mutual respect among colleagues
• Conduct effective peer reviews and promote constructive dialog among teammates
• Substantiate solutions and proposals with quantifiable benefits and costs, upsides and drawbacks
• Mentor others and socialize technology preferred practices and industry trends
• Monitory open source and commercial software product, framework, and language trends and provide thoughtful assessment of suitability for our mission

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training, or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
• Fluency in Java 17+ language and Spring framework
• Extensive familiarity with Maven build lifecycles and hygienic dependency organization
• Advanced experience with Oracle SQL query construction and optimization techniques
• Extensive experience developing RESTful web services with advanced language/framework techniques
• Advanced experience in writing comprehensive unit tests with focus on scenario coverage, not just line coverage

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Sophisticated performance testing experiencing (e.g. BlazeMeter, JMeter)
• Unwavering attention to detail and uncompromising focus on hygiene and quality
• Experience developing cloud-native software in private/public cloud platforms
• Enterprising messaging experience (e.g. EMS, Kafka, MQ)
