Full Stack Java Developer
Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a motivated and energetic Full Stack Java Developer.
Cognizant Digital Practice helps clients reinvent products, experiences, and business models to create new value, differentiation, and drive revenue in the digital economy.We take an Experience centered approachwhich uses human insights to take ideas from vision to outcome and building end to end experience led solutions that enables brands to transform their customer and employee experiences using design, marketing, and commerce capabilities.
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Remote Opportunities Available)
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with global technology partners, product owners, Tech Leads, and team members to drive outcomes
• Develop for APIs, services, and file feed components using modern stack technologies both on prem and in the cloud
• Provide administrative management of technology resources on the team
• Work on an agile team understanding business needs, performing analysis, and transforming them into testable components
• Conduct design reviews and code reviews on team members deliverables
• Champion an Agile environment
• Employ industry best practices to deliver world-class solutions. Ensure developed solutions remain compliant with all applicable Prudential standards
• Drive software development activities to meet schedules and timelines
• Drive code quality through development of automated tests
• Research problems with a strong sense of ownership and develop solutions to address the problems
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to Prudential
• Enable change, help accelerate innovation
• Demonstrating experience with taking intelligent risks and leveraging a 'test and learn' mentality
• Committed to a spirit of authentic partnership - to colleagues both internal and external to the organization
• Conduct component testing and integration testing
• Ensure that software standards, non-functional requirements and quality targets are met
Key Qualifications:
• 8+ years' experience in Software engineering.
• A strong handle on software design patterns and writing clean code specifically in a microservice environment.
• Extensive hands on experience developing microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience using cloud technologies, specifically AWS services including EKS, ECS, Event bridge, cloud formation and Lambda.
• Good handle on data persistence technologies and optimization (both SQL and NoSQL).
• Proven experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, and Swagger.
• Knowledge of Github Actions and/or Jenkins automation.
• Possess strong oral communication skills.
• JavaScript experience with React Framework is a nice to have.
• Has the desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 to $125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
