Translator/Sales Assistant - Job Description
Japanese Translator/Sales Assistant - The Translator/Sales Assistant position will work in the Sales Groups and will report to the Senior Manager. The main function of this position is to assist in the communication between Japanese-speaking and English-speaking associates. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Japanese(oral and written). Must have the ability to read and write English and Japanese and interpret documents such as sales/technical presentations and manuals. This position is required to perform a variety of administrative functions for the office as well. Extensive software skills are required, i.e.: Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint The associate will interact with the customer and is expected to perform in a professional manner and always present a professional image. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must show initiative in gaining knowledge in areas of technology related to our company's products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the communication between Japanese speaking and English-speaking associates for the Sales group.
- Translate during meeting with the customer.
- Translation of Japanese and English documents.
- On occasions the position may require the associate to assist with data entry of pricing information into computer systems (JDE).
- Work directly with the Senior Manager to support HR activities and provide support to Japanese families.
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA or AS/AA Degree from a college or job experience.
