Position: Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative (Freight Forwarding/Logistics)

OVERVIEW:
A global leading freight forwarding and logistics company is looking for a highly motivated Japanese Bilingual candidates in the Sales department. As a Sales Representative, you will be promoting and selling the freight forwarding and logistics services to Japanese companies operating in the Kentucky (KY), Ohio (OH), and Tennessee (TN) regions. Your expertise in both English and Japanese languages will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with existing and prospective Japanese clients, leading to successful business partnerships. While prior experience in the freight forwarding industry is desirable, we welcome candidates without industry-specific knowledge, as we will provide comprehensive training and support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
• Sales Activities: Execute effective sales strategies to attract new Japanese clients and expand the company's presence in the KY/OH/TN area.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Japanese customers, understanding their unique logistics needs and requirements, and offering tailored solutions.
• Onsite Customer Management: Perform onsite management at assigned customer sites, ensuring smooth operations and promptly addressing any issues that may arise.
• Market Research: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors' activities, and changing market demands to make informed business decisions.
• Negotiations: Engage in pricing and contract negotiations with Japanese clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure efficient and timely execution of services and solutions.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market insights to the management team.
• Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed customer expectations and ensure a high level of satisfaction with our services.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Fluency in both Japanese and English languages (spoken and written) is essential.
• Proven track record in sales and business development is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Knowledge of the freight forwarding and logistics industry is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are vital for success in this role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric approach to address client needs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with a high level of self-motivation.
• Flexibility to travel within the KY/OH/TN region for customer visits and meetings.
