At Velociti Services will oversee all building-related activities and is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning.
Successful candidates will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency are key attributes focused on the goal of ensuring our client’s accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Working supervisor with supervisory responsibilities.
- Manages and reviews service contracts
- Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections
- Checks completed work by vendors and contractors
- Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications
- Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees
- Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
- Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
- Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
- Allocate office space according to needs
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
- Keep financial and non-financial records
- Perform analysis and forecasting
- Other duties as assigned or requested
Required Skills / Abilities:
- 3+ years in facilities management
- Project management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- An eye for detail and good design
- The ability to work well both as part of a team and on your own

Physical Requirements
Applicants for this role must be able to:
- Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
- Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
- Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
- Standing for extended periods of time
