Janitorial Maintenance

GENERAL PUPOSE OF THIS POSITION: (The main reason for this position) To keep the Alcester Old School Center Building clean, organized and welcoming to the Community To keep the Park Shelters and Park Restrooms clean and organized during the Spring, Summer & Fall Personnel are asked to come to work each day looking for ways to make the Alcester Old School Center Building looking nicer, neater, cleaner, and more organized and in good repair

SCOPE OF THIS POSITION: (The way the position contributes to and impacts the City) To keep the Alcester Old School Center Building looking its best When working during an event - treating the public in a manner that is professional and friendly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Major responsibilities and accomplishments expected of the position including the typical problems encountered in carrying out the elements of the job) Weekly Duties Clean Bathrooms, Front Door Windows, Empty Garbage Containers in Offices and Hallway, Restrooms & Hallways as needed Sweep & Vacuum Offices, Vestibule and Hallway Mop Hallway, Vestibule and Bathroom Floors Dust Desks, Filing Cabinets and Window Ledges Restock Restrooms with Paper Products as needed Water Plants as needed Monthly Duties Vacuum Meeting Room and Hallway Rugs Mop Hallway & Restroom Floors Wipe out & off outside Drop Box Quarterly Duties Clean Stage Storage Area Clean Trash & Leaves at Around the Building Annual Duties Park Restrooms & Shelters – Seasonal Work Sweep out Shelters as needed Sweep out Restrooms Clean Toilets & Sinks Restock Restrooms with Paper Products as needed Wipe down picnic tables before each event Wipe down picnic tables after scheduled events Check trash cans along the sidewalk, empty and replace liners as needed General Assist the Staff whenever needed Any other duties assigned by Council Members
