The Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc. (Foundation) was established in 1948 to receive, manage, and disburse private gifts in support of Virginia Tech programs. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation governed by its board of directors. The Foundation serves the university by generating funding from private sources and aggressively managing its assets to provide funding which supplements state appropriations. The Foundation provides additional operating support to colleges and departments, assists in the funding of major building projects, and provides seed capital for new university initiatives.
Responsibilities:
This position will serve and support all CRC facilities with janitorial oversight and various facility and amenity inspections and act as a liaison between VTCRC staff and tenants on services outside the normal business scope. Will assist with event set up and coordination including IT support for conference rooms and events, notifications and flyers, and janitorial support for clean-up. This position will also assist with maintenance issues, gathering industrial park mail, parking monitoring, and park signage and dispensers.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with vendors and ensuring contractual obligations are met
- Experience providing administrative or programmatic support
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with a diverse clientele
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be very detail oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and have strong demonstrated computer skills and experience using a variety of software applications
Education, Licensure, and Certification required for entry into the position:
- Associate’s degree in business, technology, or a related field and/or related training and experience
