Janitor / Custodian

POSITION SUMMARY
Tri-County Sports Complex is looking for someone who likes to clean, is detail-oriented, and flexible. The Janitor / Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the entire facility, including offices, restrooms, hardcourts, turf fields, and public areas (indoors and outdoors). Position is part-time. Work hours vary, and are typically weekday evenings and weekends, after activities end. There are more hours available during our busy season (November through June), with fewer hours from July through October.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Performs general clean-up of all areas of the facility as directed
• Cleans and maintains all flooring surfaces, using floor care equipment
• Cleans and maintain all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restock supplies, etc.), paying special attention to restrooms
• Cleans all guest tables and seating in lobby
• Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by management
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests
• Complete non-routine cleaning as directed, including turf cleaning and grooming
• Remove garbage daily
• Basic facility maintenance and repairs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Janitorial / Facility Maintenance experience preferred
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Experience using floor care machines and turf grooming equipment preferred
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Capacity to take direction
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule; a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and possibly some holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
• Ability to navigate around the facility for long periods of time
• Facility has intermittent noise and varying temperatures

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
