Performance Property Servicing (PPS) is in the Building Cleaning, Hospitality and Maintenance Services. Currently headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama this company operates throughout the Southeast United States. Performance Property Servicing is a large, privately-held contract services company that specializes in janitorial/custodial/landscaping/property maintenance and staffing services. We provide janitorial/custodial and staffing solutions for Fortune 500 clients, government agencies, and major Universities as well as facilities maintenance and special project support.
THE CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE WITHIN 20 MILES OF ALABASTER.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cleans table, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances located in the employee break room and waiting area
- Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash
- Cleans windows and doors at least daily
- Utilizes floor buffer and auto scrubber DAILY to maintain floors. Performs minor maintenance on floor equipment. Keeps a log of any damage to said floor equipment and reports to immediate supervisor
- Monitors the grounds and parking lots around the facility and picks up litter as required in these areas
- Assists in recycling and repackaging of shipping materials
- Inspects and cleans restrooms throughout the day, and also replaces paper and soap supplies
- Performs minor custodial tasks in area as required
- Physically receives supplies from vendors and moves supplies from storage area to released and quarantined areas
- Maintains clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed. Follows all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promotes safety in all actions
- Maintains confidentiality of all personnel and facility information
- May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business
- Perform job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years commercial custodian experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience
Background Check & Drug Screening:
- Must be willing to have a detailed background check with no prior convictions.
- Must be willing to undergo periodic random drug testing.

- Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions
- Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
- Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
- Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time
- Reach, bend, kneel and have high level of manual dexterity
- Occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
