What We Need:
- We need Janitorial support within our Quality Assurance/Sanitation department. All of our Janitorial workers are responsible for cleaning applicable equipment to ensure produced goods safe for the consumer and prevent food safety and security risks.
What You Will Do:
- You will follow directions issued by department Manager, Supervisor and Lead
- You will read, understand and sign sanitation standard operating procedures.
- You will remove and dispose of trash/ cardboard.
- You will clean trash containers daily.
- You will maintain the trash disposal area in an orderly fashion.
- You will breakdown wooden tomato bins and stack in an orderly fashion.
- You will safely operate a trash compactor and cardboard compactor.
- You will safely operate industrial floor scrubber.
- You will safely work around forklifts
- You will perform given tasks from sanitation master plan.
- You will work on elevated platforms/ ladders.
- You will work overtime, and weekends as needed.
- You will work around chemicals and be able to perform manual labor.
- You will perform basic cleaning of structural surfaces as assigned
- You will clean area surrounding trash compactor outside dock area (during daylight as assigned}
What You Need:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- One-year janitorial experience in food manufacturing, preferred.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Maintain good attendance in accordance to company policy
- Be able to lift upwards of 75lbs on a regular basis throughout the shift.
- Be able to push/ pull wheeled carts over 100lbs.
- Be able to move bins with pallet jack.
