Position Summary:The role of the Therapist is to participate as a member of the Jail Transitions program team to intensively support patients by initiating services while incarcerated and to continue services into the community. The services shall include designing and implementing the individual care plans, providing therapeutic interventions, referral, linkage, and advocacy for program patients to prevent recidivism. The therapist will work with other community programs to ensure full integration into the community for the patient. Services may be provided in La Plata and Montezuma counties. When not working with jail population, provides general outpatient treatment.

Participates as a member of the program team to design and implement the individual care plans for program clients in accordance with policies, rules, regulations, and directives which apply. Utilizes a variety of treatment approaches and case coordination to work with a diverse client population.

Our ideal candidate for our Therapist position will have their master's in one of the recognized mental health professions, be Colorado License Eligible/Licensed LPC, LMFT, LCSW or PsyD in the State of Colorado and have a minimum of (2) two years' experience in mental health field. Experience in Substance Use Treatment preferred.

Salary:

• Therapist-Unlicensed: Starts at $23.50 per hour (Base Rate $21.00 + $2.50 Locale) Non-Exempt
• Therapist-Licensed 1: Starts at $59,280.00 per year (Base Rate $54,080.00 + $5,200.00 Locale) Exempt
• Therapist-Licensed 2: Starts at $63,440.00 per year (Base Rate $58,240.00 + $5,200.00 Locale) Exempt

Physical demands:Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. Required Skills:

• Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.

• Must have current driver's license, qualify for commercial vehicle insurance, and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with AHS' insurance agency.

Additional eligibility requirements:Annual Flu immunization, Annual TB screening, CPI training within 90 days of hire, BLS PRO certification required within 90 days of hire
