We’re the New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a bold and exciting project to develop a world class, international terminal that can serve as a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the greater United States. The $9+ billion first phase is the largest single asset project financing in US history. It will be built on sites now occupied by Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the former Terminal 3, where it will anchor JFK’s south side. Construction will take place in phases, with the first phase, including the new arrivals and departures hall and first set of new gates, expected to open in 2026.


NTO will set a new standard for design and service and aspires to obtain a global Top 5 Skytrax rating as one of the finest ten airport terminals in the world.

What We Are Looking For:


We are seeking an ITOCC Director, a key leadership role at New Terminal One (NTO) at JFK International Airport. The ideal candidate will:


  • Be a champion for delivering exceptional guest experience across the entire campus
  • Have extensive experience in operational management within an airport.
  • Possess strong skills in coordinating diverse teams, including safety, security, operations, and facilities.
  • Be adept at working with senior management to execute strategic plans effectively.
  • Exhibit expertise in adopting and implementing best practices for terminal operations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in emergency response protocols and risk management.
  • Be comfortable representing NTO professionally with business partners and governmental agencies.
  • Have a knack for leveraging innovative and integrated technologies to enhance business operations.
  • Be committed to ensuring compliance with Safety Management Systems and delivering exceptional guest experiences.


What You Will Do:


  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of various teams, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations and COO to align operational activities with NTO’s strategic goals.
  • Embrace and implement best practices to proactively manage and mitigate operational risks.
  • Establish effective communication protocols for routine operations and escalated situations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Duty Managers and the operational team, particularly in emergency response situations.
  • Oversee VACR and ensure compliance with training and safety standards.
  • Liaise confidently with business partners, concessionaires, and governmental agencies to maintain and enhance NTO’s operational standards.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies to measure and enhance business performance.


Where You Will Work:


We are located in Building 111 in Jamacia Queens. As NTO progresses towards its operational phase, your role will transition to the vibrant and dynamic environment of JFK International Airport, where you will be directly involved in the day-to-day activities of this state-of-the-art international terminal.
