Pay range: $31.98/hour
Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel is looking for a Part TimeIT Technician who will be responsible for the software and hardware maintenance of the hotel’s IT assets. The IT Technician must be reliable and able to work varying schedules, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to meet and exceed Hilton service delivery standards to both internal and external customers.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Excellent computer proficiency and troubleshooting (MS Office)
- 1-2 years of experience working with business IT systems
- 1-2 years of user support experience
- Associates Degree or higher, preferred
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Reliable personality, professional demeanor and appearance
- Consistent awareness of the latest technologies and best practices in IT support
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support for PC and Printers/Copiers
- Ability to reimage computers
- Familiarity with enterprise grade server software and hardware.
- Ability to rack equipment.
- Foundational knowledge of computer networking (OSI layers, routing, switching, firewall)
- Ability to support hospitality grade systems such as Property Management System, WIFI, Guestroom Entertainment, Phones
- Basic understanding of Point-of-Sale systems (such as Micros, or Aloha)
- Software Maintenance: update, install/uninstall, anti-virus, backup user data
- Hardware Maintenance: upgrade, provision new computers, network wiring
- Write documentation for standard operating procedures, maintain up to date inventory of all IT assets
- Keep IT assets and inventories up to date
- Possess basic IT technician skills: troubleshooting, user support, and understanding of best practices
- Ability to oversee approximately 50 machines.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Manager
- Maintain compliance with all company and brand policies and procedures
