DPP is seeking an Information Technology Technical Trainer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.
Summary:

  • Develop documentation for custom applications and packaged applications, using a variety of mediums as needed.
  • Deliver training to a variety of audiences.
  • Identify needed accesses and modifications for the training system environment.

Minimum required work experience:
  • 2 years of Training experience, including IT course development and delivery, and 3 years IT technical experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • OR, 2 years of Training experience, including IT course development and delivery and 1 year IT technical experience with a Master's degree.
Job/class description:
  • Create and deliver training and development programs to all levels of end-users and IT professionals.
  • Code, test, and debug programs specifically for training.
  • Work closely with both I/t and the business to understand system and training needs for applications and packages supported.
  • Participate in the training needs assessment process and vendor selection.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in relevant productivity tools and standard packages.
  • Understand appropriate development methodologies.
  • Understand and apply adult learning principles.
  • Design training programs, classes, workshops, computer-based training, and online help.
  • Understand the complex technical environment of the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of systems, applications, and programming languages.
  • Classroom and standard office equipment.
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Instructional Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Education, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, Extra 4 years job-related work experience (total 5 years without a degree)
