It Support Engineer

JOB BRIEF

DCL/Corporation is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer who is driven, results-oriented, hands on and dedicated to client service. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems to employees in DCL's Goose Creek, SC manufacturing facility. Ideal candidates will have a computer science degree with MCSE and CCNA certifications and be a strong problem solver and communicator who is knowledgeable about systems, management, and technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the IT plans of the company in collaboration with the IT team
• Manage and coordinate with the team on the best way to deliver services to stakeholders including scheduling task and communicating internally as appropriate
• Implement, support and maintain servers, networks, desktops, laptops, and related gear
• Implement, support and maintain a diverse variety of software and SaaS solutions
• Provide timely and expert personal technical support services for the users
• Clearly communicate and interact with the users, and understand their technical problems
• Proactively anticipate and manage the IT needs of the users
• Provide monitoring and support for Local Area Networks, including VoIP systems.
• On a rotating basis will be required to be on-call.
• Handle remote service needs of clients and client sites
• Responsible for the maintenance of all client IT systems, applications, security, and network configurations, including backup procedures, anti-virus scans, etc.
• Participate in research and make recommendations on new software, hardware and workflow solutions as applicable to our stakeholder needs.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Industry certifications (Network+, etc.).
• Excellent communication and management skills, with the personality to match
• Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Servers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suites, MacOS, Google Workplace
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast-pasted, demanding environment.
• Solid understanding of common business software
• Ability and willingness to learn new software applications
  Ability to communicate with empathy and confidence, respecting the user's sense of urgency
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
• 3 - 7+ years on-the-job experience in supporting servers, networks, and client infrastructure preferred
• Prior IT field and management experience is highly desirable
• Cyber Security Certified (CSX, CISSP) a plus
• Project Management experience (PMP) a plus

This is a full-time exempt position.
