Job Summary:

We are looking for someone who is well organized, ambitious, and eager to learn. Support PC software, hardware and peripherals in the supported departments within the College of Arts and Sciences under direction of Help Desk Manager; process help requests (within help desk web environment); reply to help requests via e-mail, phone, or in-person within 2 hours of time request was submitted; maintain high level of user satisfaction; deploy new machines as received and as old equipment goes out of warranty; image machines before placing back into production; assist Full-Time Help Desk staff with yearly capital inventory; perform complete computing inventory of every A&S-supported room at least 2X throughout the year; lift objects up to 30lbs.; assist faculty and staff to identify equipment that will fit their needs and personal use; research new technologies that may be useful to the college; engage in training opportunities offered to university staff and students; perform other projects as directed by full-time staff.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Customer service skills and enjoys working with people; problem solving abilities; familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office — familiarity with Mac is a bonus but not required.
