It Solutions Architect

i3 is seeking a Solutions Architect to support an Army Contract. The selected applicant must understand solution requirements, develop technical courses of action, and be able to communicate them as part of a comprehensive architecture and engineering plan. The selected applicant must be a subject matter expert on network solutions, products, and evolving technology architectures and roadmaps, as part of a cross-functional team.

• Develop long term program vision, lifecycle, and value proposition for PEO Missiles & Space special access programs.
• Develop long term vision & strategy for new enterprise IT capabilities within PEO Missiles and Space special access programs.
• Analyze current government/defense stakeholder capabilities and determine ways to improve design, capabilities, and concept of operations.
• Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments.
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives.
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
• Monitor and assess newly implemented solutions and analyze metrics that indicate improvement or potential issues.
• Analyze enterprise business strategies to determine corresponding changes in infrastructure architectures to meet the on-going service demands of the enterprise.
• Lead the road mapping and evolution of enterprise data and system implementation.
• Provide oversite of the project technical team.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related IT field with eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in system architecture and engineering.
• This position requires the selected candidate have an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/be eligible for a TOP SECRET clearance (Active Top Secret clearance preferred).
• Experience in architect, design, development of enterprise applications and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and apply abstract enterprise and technical architecture concepts.
• Experience creating and maintaining architecture artifacts for infrastructure related technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and apply abstract enterprise and technical architecture concepts.
• Proven project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
• Ability to adapt and change to the business needs of the practice and team coverage model.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and consulting communication skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong passion for learning and teaching others.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers.
• Strong understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure technologies, VMware & virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies/concepts utilizing virtualized GPU resource.

Preferred Capabilities/Experience:

• Understanding of common DoD Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activity and technologies.
• Familiarity with acquisitions, lifecycle, and development of Army tactical system capabilities.
• Understanding of modern enterprise IT technologies.
• Understanding of intermediate networking technologies.
