Ready for a new challenge? We are looking for an IT Software Engineer to configure, develop, maintain, and support Micron and third-party applications. You will build and analyze software specifications, as well as research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. Come join our team!
You must demonstrate the functional and technical skills vital to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution and have demonstrated the ability to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. Provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing negative impact resulting from defects, downtime, or performance degradation.
You will collaborate on a team that supports data-intensive software for a very highly automated manufacturing facility using client/server, database, and web application tools in a strong team environment. You will periodically participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. You will establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, software developers, project managers, and infrastructure groups across all sites. This position requires smooth interaction between Development teams and Operations teams (DEVOPS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with multiple teams that make up IT, Information security, and Technology to drive impactful change.
- Design, engineering, and implementation of application security solutions in a scalable way for a worldwide enterprise.
- Analyze and troubleshoot systems issues.
- Ensure that the potential impact of software development changes is well understood, using data to support understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams for end-to-end testing and performance analysis of real-time data applications, tackle issues, proactively identify new opportunities, and drive initiatives through to completion
Additional Responsibilities:
- Handling Incidents within the Service Now module
- Building\Maintaining\Reacting to monitoring solutions
- Document and maintain system knowledge, including solutions and recovery procedures.
- Participate in and potentially lead a Major Incident
- Demonstrate subject matter expert (SME) capabilities in more than one internal domain
- Develop software solutions to fix repeat incidents.
- Follow software deployment procedures to deliver high-quality solutions to Manufacturing with no interruption to operations
- Review and validate changes for systems of ownership.
- Participate in Problem Management processes investigating root causes and providing preventive solutions for repeat or highly critical incidents.
- Develop\Maintain software automations\ solutions to aid in all aspects of day-to-day work.

Education:
Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Systems is required. Equivalent experience and/or other related certifications may be considered.
