Position Overview:

Are you a transitioning service member with a background in IT and a passion for supporting internal operations? Our IT Skillbridge Transition Internship is tailored for individuals eager to apply their technical skills to enhance efficiency and technology utilization within our residential remodeling company. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and a chance to make a meaningful impact on our organization's technological landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help Desk Support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for internal staff on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Software Integration: Integrate and optimize software solutions used by various departments, including project management and design teams.
• Data Management: Assist in maintaining and organizing data related to residential remodeling projects, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Technology Training: Conduct training sessions for internal teams on new software applications or IT processes to enhance overall technology literacy.
• Collaborative Projects: Work closely with internal departments to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements and contribute to cross-functional projects.
• Security Awareness Training:Conduct security awareness training for employees to educate them about potential security risks and best practices.
• Security Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network security processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement:Continuously assess and improve network security measures to adapt to evolving threats and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Currently a transitioning service member, participating in the Skillbridge program.
• Technical expertise gained through military service in roles such as Information Technology Specialist, Cyber Operations, Network Administration, Information Technology Specialist, Desktop Support, or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset for internal IT support.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with various departments.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities within the residential remodeling industry.
