The Enterprise Technology team at Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for a senior-level IT Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work on projects related to infrastructure automation, security, and resiliency, as well as internal tool development and optimization. Your efforts will have a firm-wide impact.
We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of infrastructure disaster recovery, IaC tools, and automating day-to-day technical operations to enhance business productivity. This role requires a deep Linux operating system and application administration skill set, proficiency in Python, and solid experience with Terraform, as well as exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage on-premise Linux-hosted web applications
- Automate and troubleshoot a broad range of technical infrastructure
- Work with centralized configuration management (SaltStack) for Linux systems and applications
- Implement and enforce user lifecycle standards and data security best practices for Linux systems
- Assist with the administration of DHCP and DNS for both on-premise and external systems and applications
- Scripting to automate repetitive tasks
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Python and Unix shell scripting
- Terraform expertise
- Experience working with GitHub Enterprise or other pipeline/code revision and review tooling
- Expert experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), MEAN (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js), or similar stack experience
- Systems process automation experience with Jenkins/Foreman, GitHub Actions, or other tooling
- Nice-to-haves:
- Linux endpoint management experience
- AWS or Google Cloud (GCP) experience
- Kubernetes or other containerized management experience
- OpenLDAP expertise
- Atlassian administration experience (on-prem)
Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
