- Supervises a small group of IT personnel, prioritizing and assigning tasks for effective use of team resources; responding to more moderate to complex issues, escalated inquiries from team members; and checking the quality of others work. Activities of the team may include installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining a large system or several smaller systems
- Partners with site specific leadership to ensure aligned IT/Operations strategic business plan
- Develops site specific roadmaps and IT strategies as input to the Manager, IT Site Operations strategy and roadmaps
- Adheres to and implements enterprise-wide standards.
- Supervises all local projects with an IT component in accordance with project plans and budgets, including the implementation or upgrade of software systems and overseeing the implementation or upgrade of refinery data centers.
- Coordinates daily IT-related site needs, liaising between local IT and plant management, and communicates with Manager, IT Site Operations on project statuses.
- Responsible for local inventory of assets.
- Provides input on IT budget for local needs.
- Supports various departmental and site-specific applications, including application-level support and, depending on assignment, database-level support.
- Monitors applications daily for optimization and detection of issues.
- Reviews and prioritizes IT requests from various departments at assigned location and resolves or delegates as appropriate.
- Coordinates SOX controls and complies with/remediates SOX audit findings for SOX applications.
- Writes clear, concise, and accurate documentation and provides training for supported systems (e.g., tank gauging, lab systems, etc.).
- Performs annual performance appraisals and goal achievement for local IT staff
- Protects the computer and telephone systems from unauthorized access by reviewing access and building security into the systems.
- Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
