Munich Airport NJ LLC is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and concession management at the existing New Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)! We are looking for an experienced;
IT Senior Desktop Support Specialist
to join our team as soon as possible. You will be part of a quickly growing team, helping not only to create an attractive passenger terminal, but also to develop the Terminal Operator company with your expertise and personality.
Your Future Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior-level Desktop Support Technician and escalation point to the Desktop
- Support Technicians by providing tier 3 advanced support with equipment, systems, and software
- Monitors and tests PC performance and provides PC performance reports and statistics
- Perform in-person and remote troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex Desktop Support problems for end-users
- Test and deploy hardware and software solutions
- Install, configure, test, and maintain end-user technology equipment, including desktops laptops, printers, peripheral devices, and other specific standalone and network-connected equipment
- Document issues, status, and resolutions using the help desk ticketing system
- Documents and trains users on common problems and related solutions
- Develops and maintains an inventory of keyboards, hard drives, printers, modems, scanners, monitors, and other peripheral devices
- Provides backup network support as needed and performs the more basic functions of network administration when needed
- Responsible for coordinating with vendors and other systems provers to resolve the issues and monitor the SLA
- Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned
Your Education & Training
- Bachelor’s degree or professional training/certifications related to areas of responsibilities or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience working in an airport environment is preferred
Your Skills & Experience
- Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
- Very good knowledge and practical experience of the MS Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS, PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Project)
- Very good knowledge in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent knowledge of PC internal components
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
- Extensive equipment support experience
- Understanding of basic network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, as well as network hardware
- Experience with: Deploying, updating, optimizing, and troubleshooting Windows-based and Mac-based workstations in a corporate environment
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Has a positive and energetic attitude with a hands-on mentality
- Ability to work without direct supervision, taking responsibility, and ownership of assigned tasks
- Ability to work in a team-driven environment
