We are currently seeking an IT Security Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are safe from external and internal threats, while maintaining security monitoring tools and working with the wider IT team to ensure best practices are followed
What we'll get you doing:

  • Serve as a security expert in application development, database design, network and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices
  • Analyze and respond to security threats from Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Antivirus (AV), Network Access Control (NAC) and other security threat data sources
  • Perform security testing and vulnerability assessments to identify security strengths and weaknesses, to assess the effectiveness of existing controls, and to recommend remedial action.
  • Review audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources regularly and ensure they are in compliance with policies and audit requirements.
  • Assist in the development of security architecture and security policies, principles and standards.

The essential requirements of the role include:
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of Information Security, Networking, experience in IT compliance, or a similar function with an understanding of IT internal controls and IT risk mitigation preferably in a Security Operations Center environment. Splunk, Bit locker, Cisco, Snort, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto

  • Strong knowledge in Windows server and Active Directory
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from detailed information to a more general understanding
  • Certification in Business Analytics; Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification; Information System Auditor (CISA) certification; Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC).

The salary range for this role is $80K-$9 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
