IT Security Architect
Location: Houston, TX
Description:
This person as a Security Architect will support the portfolio of digital projects and Security Architecture reviews.
The ideal candidate for a Security Architect position should possess the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption.
Strong understanding of security protocols and standards, such as SSL/TLS, SAML, and OAuth.
Experience with security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards, such as TSA Pipeline refs, GDPR, NIST 800-53/CSF, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or SANS GIAC, are highly desirable.
Self-motivated, high performer, preferably with a Security Architecture background preferred
Intermediate knowledge of cloud security products as part of a cloud strategy
Experience with Visio
Advanced proficiency in authentication, authorization, and security policies
Advanced understanding of the practical ways to apply security standard methodologies in new situations
Advanced understanding Cloud best practices on leveraging the capabilities to secure by design
Application Security with Application Development background is highly encouraged
Awareness of ZeroTrust methodologies
