Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Resource Management & Tracking Manager to join our growing team and help lead our business and technology transformation. If you are a seasoned IT leader with experience in managing strategic program financials, C-level executive updates, budget planning and forecasting, analysis, and tracking, of OPEX, CAPEX, headcount and HDW/SW tracking and reporting. In this exciting role, you will be challenged with the opportunity to re-imagine every aspect of Resource Management and tracking. You will have an IT program and management experience, someone excited about re-imagining and evolving a technical organization through operational excellence.
This position reports directly to the Director, IT Portfolio & Budget Management.
As an IT Resource Management & Tracking Manager, your duties and responsibilities are:
- Support CTO leveling resource planning and forecasting for headcount and HW/SW management
- Build budgets for OPEX, CAPEX, headcount and HW/SW using detailed models to drill down to specific areas of focus. Focusing the drill down of incurred cost to specified levels of managerial responsibility, by strategic program.
- Build forecast and best view on a quarterly basis, considering approved overlays, adjustments and opportunity and risk
- Provide managerial reporting comparing actual results to budget and forecast, providing variance explanation and analysis
- Evaluate opportunity and risk, communicate the same to management, identify corrective action or process improvement to create financial and operational efficiencies, implement process improvement
- Identify relevant areas for trending analysis, report trending and provide opportunity and risk assessment based on the same. Always focusing on the overall goals and objectives of the entire organization.
- Identify constructive alternatives to reporting results if they do not currently exist in current systems. Specifically, defining where and how detail is identified and pulling all information into a singular location to develop a standardized reporting mechanism which is repeatable.
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Management or related field
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 8+ years of experience managing IT resource tracking and SOW management
- Understanding of core IT infrastructure and service concepts
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across organizational structures and multiple management levels
- Exemplary communication skills, managing conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise and influencing others
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Experience with procurement of IT services and software
