What you do:

This opportunity is for a Senior QA Analyst to join the ALIP 2.0 RILA product team. In this role, you will be responsible for test case creation and execution for your assigned projects. You will work directly with the QA Lead and scrum team to deliver projects successfully in a given timeframe. You may be responsible for leading small to mid-size projects or diverse scope across functional areas or multiple systems. As a senior member of the QA team, you will lead and mentor other QA resources, as appropriate. This person will join an existing scrum team and support testing activities for the Life product line.

The primary focus for this position is performing policy values validations. The testing will require daily contact with the strategic systems team and actuaries. Strong MS Excel skills and a passion for working with numbers and validating data is essential to success in this role.

A successful candidate will have background in:

  • Estimates: Provide estimation (points) for user stories, primarily for policy values/product calculations user stories
  • Requirements: Participate in refinement sessions, review product calculation library (PCL) documentation, and collaborate with scrum team, vendors and/or colleagues to provide inputs to test strategy and scope. Policy values (calculations) are the primary scope for this position.
  • Test Planning: Collaborate with scrum team to define test scope and approach. Collaborate with the business and technical analysts, as well as actuaries for test scenario creation and review output with scrum team. Create test cases and review with scrum team and other project stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Communication: Identify issues and risks and inform scrum team. Ensure timely updates to test cases in ALM tool to maintain scrum team dashboard. Collaborate with scrum team and business partners to ensure understanding of customer needs.
  • Test Execution: Coordinate with teams to ensure test execution readiness, including cross-system dependencies. Identifies test cases for automation and utilizes internal tools to automate test cases, as appropriate. Identifies issues and escalates, as appropriate. Review test results with stakeholders via demo. Support defect management.
  • Test Closure & Monitoring: Participate in Sprint Retrospectives. Ensure regression test suites and automation are updated. Contributes to opportunities to uplift the QA capability through supporting change, innovation and automation improvements.


What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in testing (QA or UAT), documenting test cases, test results, and defects in a formal ALM tool.
  • 4-year degree required - Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present findings to our business and project partners.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in a scaled agile (SAFe) environment is a plus.
