Job description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking the flow of work through the team. The Project Manager will act as a key liaison for IT projects, helping to ensure visibility into how work comes into teams, how it is prioritized, and what the status of that work is. The Project Manager will be a process coach, establishing cadences for and leading activities including standups and planning meetings.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Consults with business partners to clarify and define project requirements and business case, including development of a statement of work with a clear definition of done.
  • Develops and revises project plans, works with stakeholders to understand their needs, and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines.
  • Pro-actively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential roadblocks, and devises contingency plans.
  • Develops, implements, and leads program and project level processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate and direct daily activities within and across project teams.
  • May be responsible for coordinating with outside vendors.
  • Acts as the main contact for planning topics.
  • Performs project risk analysis.
  • Prepares and communicates status, issues, and opportunities to project sponsors.
  • Builds and nurtures an effective and collaborative project team.

Skills Needed to Perform the Job
  • Strong background in Lean/Agile project management skills, methods, and tools.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while supporting demand driven work, experience in operations a plus.

Education Needed to Perform the Job
  • Minimum of a bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Project management certification a plus (PMP, Scrum, other).
  • Obtain Orion Industry Certification.

Experience Needed to Perform the Job
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT project management experience required.

Salary Range:
$90,784.00 - $140,617.00
The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
