Job description

Summary
The Network Technician works under general supervision and is responsible for providing technical support to local and remote networks, PCs and peripheral devices. This position analyzes, designs, implements, maintains and supports PC/Network systems and is responsible for performing daily intermediate level user support tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the procurement, configuration and installation of laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, printers and monitors.
  • Research and provide solutions to user problems.
  • Troubleshoot end user equipment including laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, printers, and monitors.
  • Provide end user support for installed applications in local and remote offices.
  • Record and track Support requests using Enterprise ticketing system.

Network Administration
  • Assist with administering on-prem and cloud networks.
  • SCCM, AD, O365, Intune and Azure basic account administration.
  • Assist in analyzing network needs and contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
  • Assist with administering mobile devices, specifically iPads enrolled with Intune MDM.
  • Assist with administering Ruckus wireless network.

Project Management
  • Assist with maintenance of remote local LAN & WAN.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of LANs and WANs.
  • Assist with the installation and upgrade of new software on network servers.
  • Assist with the configuration and installation of servers, switches, routers, wireless access points, VPN, and UPS.
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of Remote LAN devices.
  • Act as resource or lead on technical projects.

Operations
  • Assist in analyzing, testing and evaluation of new hardware and software and make recommendations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of LANs and WANs.
  • Assist in asset management, software delivery, anti-virus and updates.
  • Assist in analyzing, monitoring and recommending computing resources.
  • Recommend policies on system use and services.
  • Assist in maintaining all network equipment including servers, switches, routers, fiber optic connectors, wireless access points, VPN appliances, and UPS.

Create technical and user documentation for network environment.

Knowledge/Experience
• Four years experience in Network Administration and PC troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Microsoft, Cisco or related technical certification a plus.
• Experience with managing technical projects.
• Experience with PC hardware & software troubleshooting.
• Experience with service request application.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM.
• Experience with Bitlocker and Intune
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 workstations.
• Experience with office automation applications, specifically Microsoft Office
• Experience with mobile computing devices, specifically Apple iPad
• Experience with network protocols, specifically TCP/IP and Ethernet.
• Experience with network standards and topologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS 2016 &2018.
• Experience with office applications, specifically O365.
• Experience with network devices and network cabling techniques.
• Experience with IP telephony and telephone switching.
• Experience with Audio Visual technologies and support.
• Experience with homebuilding or property management a plus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
