Job description

Summary
The IT intern should be ambitious about technology and service excellence with a future career goal in Information Technology. The selected student will have a primary placement within User Support. Recommended class schedule would allow for the intern work at least two days each week for at least four hours per day for at least 6 months or until graduation or business needs change.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist users and IT staff to resolve computer, telephone and mobile device problems
  • Resolve customer inquiries efficiently and effectively through the use of active listening and personalizing techniques with a constant focus on service excellence
  • Image, test and deliver computers to end-users
  • Utilize, create, and submit updates to Knowledgebase articles
  • Support ongoing rollouts and special projects
  • Other duties, as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
  • Current sophomore, junior or senior student pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security or related IT discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn new concepts and technology quickly

Preferred:
  • Experience installing and configuring operating systems and applications on PCs
  • Previous IT internship
