The Costco IT Division is inviting students currently enrolled in an IT undergraduate or graduate program at a community college, college or university to participate in a 12-week paid internship program during the summer of 2024. Interns will work within specific areas in Costco's Information Systems Division. Interns will attend presentations given by various members of Executive Management from IT and other areas of the Company. Interns will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. Housing is not provided.
The SAP SOXIT Controls & Compliance Analyst Team is responsible for helping to create and maintain Costco's IT General Control environment (ITGC) across all in scope SAP SOX systems. This team will be responsible for ensuring that all ITGC control objectives are in place and operating, and help coach control owners on changes that need to be made in the event a control is not operating. The Intern will assist with the frequent reporting and tracking of the SAP SOX ITGC's. This is a cross-functional role, working closely with IT groups across Costco SAP Platform area and other functional teams to ensure controls and compliance requirements are clearly defined and implemented. Effective communication and personal initiative are critical to the success of this role.
NOTE: While participating in the IT Internship program, an individual will be classified as an hourly temporary employee for the duration of the program. During the program, the individual may be asked to undergo the normal interview process for a level 1 position. If the individual is offered a position, they will be converted to the employment status matching open job they were selected for. Internships last for twelve weeks. If they are not selected for a permanent position, the internship position will be complete in a maximum of twelve weeks.

• Assists in audit engagement planning and Conduct efficient and effective ITGC procedures.
• Helps develop and publish well-crafted audit reports including results and recommendations or management.
• Learns to understand ITGC controls process.
• Helps in managing ITGC evidence and ensures proper storage with right access.
• Assists in the capture of the issue of common control practices and works with analysts to find proper solutions to those.
REQUIRED
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess good organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, and stay well organized.
• Must be maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be students currently enrolled in an IT undergraduate or graduate program at a community college, college or university.
• Conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and resolution skills.
• Documentation and presentation skills catered to a diverse technical and business audience.
Recommended
• Technical knowledge of Infrastructure landscapes and roadmaps.
• Software Development Life Cycle management knowledge.
• Costco warehouse, Ecommerce or retail experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $29.90
