Position:

The IT Help Desk Support Specialist is responsible for assisting MRD’s end users with all problems encountered during the daily use of our hardware and software programs in the Corporate Office in East Lansing, MI and 80 remote locations throughout the United States. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple task and projects simultaneously and have excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve various IT issues including resetting passwords, printer issues, and general user concerns.
  • Solve end users’ computer or software problems via telephone or online, logging remotely into their computers to troubleshoot issues using our business management software.
  • Install, set up, configure, and update Windows 11 computers, mobile devices including Apple and Android, and IP security cameras.
  • Replace, repair, and upgrade hardware components in desktop and laptop devices.
  • Monitor ticketing system for new Technology Support requests.
  • Assign wireless devices and manage wireless invoice allocation.
  • Set up and configure Desktops and Laptops.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer Science degree preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Technical, electronics or IT background required.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Mac- based computers with a willingness and capability to learn more.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products.
  • Experience with helpdesk and ticketing systems preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent in person, phone, and email communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in teams and solve problems on own.
  • Ability to learn an enterprise-level business software program by using videos, software, and some one-on-one personal training.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Good work ethic, punctual, and accountable.
  • Able and eager to embody MRD Apartments Core Values daily.
