Summary:

General troubleshooting of employee desktop computing environment. Troubleshooting a range of technology and telephone issues, investigating, diagnosing faults, and working through to resolution. Support the set-up of new offices or projects across the two company locations. Provides training and guidance to new hires. Ensures the maintenance of all local equipment and conference rooms and provides support when connection to equipment is needed.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist users with computer and phone issues.
  2. Review network monitor system for problems.
  3. Troubleshoot and fix issues identified through the network monitor.
  4. Verify all systems are operating properly.
  5. Review log files for all systems and take appropriate action from findings.
  6. Identify systems that need to be replaced and/or improved.
  7. Replace/image computers and/or phones that have issues.
  8. Shutdown and perform archiving of existing employee information.
  9. Setup user accounts and phones for new hires.
  10. Assist sales teams with moves to new desks.
  11. Review and release system updates.
  12. Run and review software system audits.
  13. Identify long range needs.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent with three to five years in an IT environment. Certifications in the following are a plus: VMware, Cisco or HP Networking, Microsoft Desktops and Servers and Linux Servers.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must possess hands-on experience with the following, VMware, NAS and/or SAN storage, Cisco/HP routers, switches and WAPs, Cisco/Sonicwall or equivalent Firewalls, WAN/VPN configuration/installation, VOIP systems, Microsoft Desktop and Server operating systems, Active Directory/LDAP, Linux Servers


Experience with ZoHo CRM, NetSuite ERP, WordPress, and coding experience with any of the following languages/platforms: JavaScript, JQuery, React.js, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3 is a plus

Office environment. Noise volume varies from loud to normal.
