Job description

We are seeking an IT Helpdesk employee within our Information Technology (IT) department. This position is ideal for an energetic individual who enjoys technology, interacting with people, and working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The IT Helpdesk position will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. They will respond to tier 1 helpdesk tickets, update and maintain documentation, and deploy end-user hardware.

Pay and Schedule:

  • $21 - $25 per hour based on experience.
  • Availability to work 8 hours per day between 7 am – 6 pm, Monday – Friday.
  • After-hours and overtime may be required based on workload.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support for any information technology issues and problems.
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • Advise users on appropriate action.
  • Follow standard help desk procedures.
  • Log all help desk interactions.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.
  • Participate in creating and maintaining IT documentation.
  • Maintain computers, laptops, printers, tablets, smartphones, and phone systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or other technology role.
  • Experience with Windows OS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a critical-thinking environment.
  • Exemplary time management skills.
