It Hardware Specialist (Tier Iii)

Position Title: IT Hardware Specialist (Tier III)
Location: Washington, DC (on-site)
Clearance: TS/SCI. Due to the nature of this government contract, U.S. Citizenship is required.

NEOSTEK, Inc. is looking for an IT Hardware Specialist (Tier III) who will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of hardware infrastructure to support organizational IT systems. This role involves providing expert-level technical guidance, troubleshooting complex hardware issues, and ensuring the reliability and security of hardware components. A Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI is required for this position. A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred but not required. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Server+ are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of hardware infrastructure solutions to meet organizational IT requirements.
• Provide expert-level technical support and assistance for complex hardware-related issues.
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware problems, implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop hardware standards, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate emerging hardware technologies and make recommendations for adoption based on organizational needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation for hardware configurations, specifications, and procedures.
• Mentor and train junior hardware technicians, providing guidance and expertise.
• Ensure compliance with hardware security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in IT project planning, coordination, and implementation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware infrastructure management or related role.
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
• Expert-level knowledge of hardware components, configurations, and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Server+ are preferred but not required.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Due to the nature of this government contract, US citizenship is required.
• A current TS clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in hardware infrastructure management or a related role.
