The IT Hardware Asset Administrator will collaborate with the IT Hardware Asset Lead on projects to enhance the organization’s asset management strategy and increase productivity within the IT Hardware Asset Management Department.

The duties, tasks, and responsibilities of the IT Hardware Asset Admin are as follows:

This hands-on Asset Admin will assist with the standardization of the IT asset management and procedures along with streamlining any discovered inefficiencies by:
 

  • Collaborating with the IT Hardware Asset Lead to brainstorm ideas and strategies in respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives.
  • Monitoring the ticketing system (ServiceNow) to process requests for hardware, BOMs for Branch Infrastructure team and submit orders for hardware to vendors.
  • Tracking received hardware, pack/ship hardware, prepare pallets, coordinate with LTL companies for shipments and Itemize recyclables.
  • Performing quality assurance audits and maintain hardware maintenance database.
  • Ensuring process efficiency by assisting with implementing the key performance indicators and suggest improvements to the process continuously.
  • Administering and updating various asset spreadsheets, asset trail emails, termination report and monthly reports to finance.
  • Creating and maintain company policies and processes to ensure smooth workflow, which improves overall performance.
  • Assisting with new team member training, onboarding and/or plan for team member to receive training on the latest and best practices in handling Asset Management related issues.
  • AssistingIT Hardware Asset Lead and IT Hardware Support Technician with keeping clean records of all activities in the Asset Management department and present them upon request for evaluation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill Sets, Experience & Qualification
 

  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Concord, NC
  • 2 year degree or 2+ years IT Service Desk experience
  • High school diploma with additional years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills with both technical teams and non-technical business leaders
  • Strong ITSM experience (ServiceNow System)
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated (personal initiative). Solid project management skills and experience are needed; certification in project management will be helpful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, leadership skills desirable. Ability to see structure and bring order to undefined (or poorly defined) processes, as well as develop and implement processes, are a necessity.
  • General awareness about Windows 10, Core Apps (like Browser, Outlook, Excel, Word etc.), O365, Active Directory and OKTA
  • A+ Certified 

IT Hardware Asset Admin physical demand

Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential. Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.

The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the office occasionally (accessing files/storage, office equipment, computers and other office productivity devices, attending meetings, etc.), is required.

Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common. Must also be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.

Some moderately heavy lifting (of computer monitors, printers, etc.) is required. Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners).

  • Attendance – Ability to maintain the scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location as specified.
  • Physical Capacities – Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion, sitting and standing for extended periods.
  • Operation of Office Equipment — Job requires operation of equipment common to office settings, including computers, copiers, and other office equipment, including Near Vision, Manual Dexterity, and working in proximity to equipment.
