We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our IT Department as an Entry Level Help Desk Specialist. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including IT inventory control, mobile asset procurement and management, printer support, invoice management, SLA tracking, and IT department portfolio management.
Responsibilities:

1. Help Desk Support:

  • Resetting Windows and MaddenCo passwords
  • Unlocking user accounts
  • Restarting MaddenCo printers
  • Resolving Windows printing issues
  • Building new/replacement workstations and laptops
  • Providing in-person user support
  • Generating helpdesk department statistics reports (tickets opened/resolved, trends, staff stats)
  • Documenting and managing helpdesk processes

2. Cell Phone Administration:

  • Procuring and administering cell phones using Maas360
  • Providing user support for cell phones
  • Managing cell phone inventory
  • Collaborating with carriers (AT&T, Telecommunication, Cellcom) to address coverage and data issues

3. Inventory Management and Control:

  • Maintaining up-to-date IT inventory control
  • Updating the asset management database with acquired assets
  • Checking in/out all IT assets
  • Serving as the gatekeeper for asset management

4. Invoice Management:

  • Collaborating with vendors on invoicing for hard assets and services
  • Managing costs for assets and services, including phone service
  • Handling other invoicing responsibilities

5. Printer Environment:

  • Procuring replacement printers
  • Managing printers, including page counts and consumables (toner, ink)
  • Coordinating printer repair with vendor (Marco) using the Marco printer portal

6. Reporting:

  • Generating designated reports (helpdesk stats, asset management, printer consumables)
  • Creating custom reports from Jira, Asset Manager, and other databases
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word for reporting purposes

7. IT Department Project Portfolio:

  • Tracking and reporting on active and future project workload
  • Assisting with resource load planning
  • Prioritizing work in collaboration with IT Department management

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills (phone and email)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Maas360 MDM management application is a plus
  • Inventory and asset management tracking skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Basic helpdesk experience is advantageous
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Exceptional teamwork and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently
  • Ability to multitask and support clients through multiple points
  • Familiarity with creating reports from various applications and databases
