Mechanical Designer and Detailer

Summary: Assist in the design and detailing of tooling for test systems by performing and following the outlined duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Draw designs using input from engineers on a project

Use SolidWorks to create drawings and make revisions as needed

Calculate factors like tolerance and dimensions

Details official drawings based on ideas or rough drafts from others

Draft tooling and fixtures for test systems and components

Provide support during the design and build process

Qualifications:

Working knowledge and experience with SolidWorks

Understanding of and application of tolerance and tolerance analysis

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the given field

Experience in design and detailing in a manufacturing environment

Excellent problem solving skills

Strong math skills
