Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the IT Contract & Asset Manager will manage the IT Software and Hardware asset inventory. This position will be the super user for the global asset management tool and responsible for global asset compliance and governance. This role will assist in the execution and renewal of technology contracts, as well as tracking and monitoring of IT software and hardware assets. This global role will be responsible for the management of both corporate technology and global enterprise agreements. The manager will work closely with IT leadership and Technology Procurement to ensure contracts and assets are managed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and maintain software and hardware asset entitlements in the global asset management tool (current tool is SNOW)
Asset compliance and governance
Manage and maintain of asset management tool
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure global asset compliance
Manage, monitor, and control technology contracts, hardware and software purchases, service subscriptions, maintenance renewals, and vendor relationships as assigned
Support full vendor lifecycle, including contracting, onboarding, license monitoring, invoice processing, renewal requirements and vendor business analysis
Create and manage contract requests and escalations in Ariba contract management system
Define controls, processes, and procedures for software asset management to ensure software and services are effectively and efficiently managed throughout the enterprise
Collect, analyze, and report on software license consumption information for forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and cost optimization
Track and communicate property allocation adjustments to IT finance for global enterprise agreements, based on software consumption and reconciliations
Train, local and global teams to use and report from the asset management tool
Facilitate periodic software license cycle count procedures to ensure enterprise license compliance
Initiate purchase requests and/or purchase orders, monitor approvals, and escalate as needed for timely submission to vendors
Collaborate with functional systems/application owners to proactively understand current software licensing needs and renewal requirements
Manage software training requests for enterprise managed systems and tools
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various departments to evaluate, assess and optimize enterprise software license requirements and deployments
Analyze software usage to determine potential efficiencies and cost saving opportunities
Invoice validation
Fulfill licensing requests for global IT software portals and/or approve licensing requests
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management or a technical subject is preferred or equivalent relevant experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy
5+ years of experience in Information Technology specifically in contract and software asset management and/or procurement
IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience
Experience managing a complex license portfolio across a diverse deployment landscape
Expertise in Microsoft licensing models and requirements
Experience working in a global organization with resources in various locations
Automated asset management systems experience
IAITAM Software Asset Management certification preferred
Demonstrate a proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality work
Strong organization, planning, and execution skills
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills
Must possess a U.S. passport and be able to travel both domestically and overseas
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in spoken and written form.
