You will work closely with our experienced BI professionals to gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop valuable skills in the fast-paced world of Business Intelligence.
The Jacksons Experience Internship offers students the opportunity to tackle projects and to make a real impact on the departmental and corporate objectives as they prepare to start their career journey. These are paid internships and start in June and run through mid-August. This internship is part-time.
Our internship programs are great for ambitious students who are currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year college/university or are recent grads. Our goal is to create a thoughtful program to challenge our interns and help them grow and develop as professionals.
This position is in-person at Jacksons Store Support Center in Meridian, Idaho. Remote work is not available for this role. Must be local to the Treasure Valley Idaho
Some of what you will do as a Information Technology Business Intelligence Intern at Jacksons:
- Update the Measure Library with new measures from the new models.
- Update the Data Dictionary for new data sets that have become available.
- Audit existing published reports against Report Publishing standards.
- Work as a Business Analyst to gather requirements for new Report/Machine Learning requests.
- Completed your sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Enrolled at an accredited college/university and seeking a degree related to the internship you are applying for.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, DAX, and Python).
- Experience with Azure SQL, PowerBI, DAX studio, ALM Toolkit, and TEAMs
- Experience with Business Analysis, Auditing, and Data Modeling
- Effective communication skills and a high degree of comfort sharing information with various levels of the organization.
- A positive “can do” attitude.
