Position Summary: The IT Business Change Analyst (IT BA) acts as a strategic partner between the business community and IT development teams to understand and communicate business requirements related to business applications, data troubleshooting or systems issues. The IT Business Change Analyst will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements, define needs and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. The main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Working Location: Waterloo, Iowa [On-Site]

Working Hours: Full-Time, 8am-5pm CST Monday-Friday

Responsibilities/Duties of the Position

  • Support an Agile product team by partnering with the business liaison / product owner to create, manage and prioritize a product backlog.
  • Conduct interviews and perform analysis to understand business requirements and translate the requirements into concise communication in the form of user stories.
  • Collaborate with business community and product sponsors to identify and document business requirements.
  • Ensure all required documentation and formal stakeholder approvals are complete.
  • Work with business community to document functional test scenarios, test plans, and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in design sessions, working with business or technical resources, to provide insight during solution development.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful documentation / reports.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users; interacting with project stakeholders regularly.
  • Performing user acceptance testing / quality assurance as needed.
  • Author and update internal documentation; and initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
  • Assist with process reviews as needed; help identify any problems with the current process / business model(s).
  • Review, analyze, design, create, and maintain CRM items and processes as needed.
  • Train employees and stakeholders on new practices or procedures.
  • Assist / conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Review, analyze, design, maintain, and create reports of systems, system data, processes as needed.
  • Improve processes, products, and software through data analysis / report generation as needed.

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to elicIT Business requirements and translate them into clear, concise details within user stories.
  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation.
  • General database and/or SQL experience preferred.

Skills and competencies:

  • Experience working with a software development team that was applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Organized with strong time-management skills; able to adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Some on-call availability for process review / deployments.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment / components.
  • Visual pallidities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision.
  • Some travel may be required for training purposes.
