Internship Description
The IT BI Reporting Intern will assist the IT department in reviewing, clarifying and improving business dashboards and their delivery. They will focus on documentation, process usability, information accuracy, presentation for understanding, and value of information delivery throughout the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build, stage, and deploy new and upgraded BI reporting technology.
- Respond to incoming helpdesk requests from our helpdesk application, telephone, walk-up or email systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues identifying and/or analyzing BI reporting hardware, software, and system issues.
- Research and recommend enterprise reporting software or strategies, creating and updating documentation as needed.
- Develop and document technology BI processes.
- Recommend infrastructure changes, upgrades, and configurations.
- Provide updated, changed, or new management and end user reports or metrics and information extracts as requested.
- Actively support robust BI reporting requirements and initiatives, recommending and implementing additional measures as appropriate.
- Escalate and collaborate on problems with teammates when appropriate.
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Working towards a bachelor's or associate degree in computer technology, IS Operations, BI or information sciences, or related field is desirable, but not required.
- Related certifications such as CompTIA or A+, Microsoft, and other professional certifications will be considered.
