JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) is seeking applications for an Undergraduate Research Assistant position under the advice of Prof. Johnson Kinyua and Prof. Prasenjit Mitra.
Research Interests: Artificial intelligence, applied machine learning, natural language processing, text mining, image processing, computer vision, sensor data processing, information retrieval and their applications in wildlife conservation, security of federated learning systems, etc.
Project involves applying machine learning, game theory, big data analytics, natural language processing, image processing, computer vision, sensor data processing to wildlife conservation.
Students with a strong academic record, but no immediate experience in these fields will be considered. An excellent academic record may make up for absence of experience in machine learning but the willingness to work hard and learn, and desire to achieve excellence is required.
