DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a motivated, career-focused Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to become an integral part of our dynamic team. As an ISSE Level 3, you'll play a vital role within our organization, contributing your expertise to a Weapons and Space software development project. Your responsibilities will encompass serving as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams. Supporting the government in complying with Agency Systems Security Certification & Accreditation (C&S) processes, to include discovery meetings, achieving Interim Approval to Test (IATT) and in obtaining final Approval to Operate (ATO) status for Systems Security Plans (SSP) associated with all mission systems. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Work with all appropriate agency elements to gain successful accreditation.
- Provide expertise with agency C&A policy, processes & tools.
- Fill roles of Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).
- Manage all security relevant changes to the mission systems, assuring SSP documentation is up-to-date and ATO status is maintained.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Provides security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management
- Recommends system-level solutions to resolve security requirements
- Identifies overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data
- Provide guidance for a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and Continuous Monitoring Plan
- Perform Pre-Security Controls and Analysis Assessments (PSAs). Foster improved security of all systems using Enterprise solutions.
- Providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence activity.
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with the NSA Certification and Accreditation process (NISCAP).
- Experience developing security plans for employing enterprise-wide security architecture
Required Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 20 years of experience or 24 years of total experience in leu of a degree or a Master’s Degree and 18 years of experience is also acceptable.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3 is required as well as Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP Certification are required
