Irrigation Technician

GENERAL

Performing irrigation installation and diagnostic activities on existing systems. These activities are required at residential or commercial locations as part of contractual obligations including monitoring areas for irrigation issues. This position has advancement opportunities and is a key part of our operation. We are looking for long term dedicated person to complete our irrigation team who has an eye to the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting irrigator with daily tasks while learning the properties and their respective irrigation systems.
• Performing irrigation inspections, completing irrigation inspection reports, and submitting information for irrigation repairs proposals.
• Performing approved irrigation repairs
• Adhering to Foret Group's safety policy and ensuring public safety
• Building and maintaining good relations with customers through effective communication and regular site visits
• Maintain a record of products used, problems encountered, or other information essential to each job
• Long hours and a varying schedule is expected
• Working outdoors and under varying environmental conditions is expected. The nature of irrigation work means you will occasionally get damp/wet.
• Ability to crouch, bend, work on knees, work while lying on stomach, etc. while performing repairs.
• Work around irrigation repair chemicals which require the use of gloves and eye protection is required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

***MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE***

Education: High School Degree or GED required.

Experience: one year experience preferred but willing to train any individual who is willing to work hard and learn the trade with a commitment to make a career with Foret Group.

• Valid LA class D Driver’s License with a good Motor vehicle record.

Skills:

• Strong work ethic
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Work independently or with others under little or no supervision
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service experience
• Irrigation certification preferred or ability to obtain license with the help of Foret Group.
• Knowledge of two wire systems preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
