Irrigation Foreman *

United Land Services (ULS) is a premier landscaping company specializing in commercial landscape installation and maintenance services. We are currently seeking an experienced Irrigation Foreman to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, overseeing and managing our irrigation systems to ensure optimal functionality and high performance. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and lead a team of 2-5 crew members in irrigation and landscaping tasks.
• Utilize expertise in irrigation installation, system retrofitting for improved efficiency, excavation, debris removal, and various other tasks related to property enhancement.
• Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and repair both existing and new irrigation systems.
• Assess pipe and valve placements, manage start-ups, winterization, and overall system operation.
• Address water feature issues, including troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain low-voltage lighting systems, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
• Perform minor hardscape installations and repairs, in addition to periodic property maintenance.
• Safely and proficiently use power and manual tools and equipment for irrigation installation and maintenance.
• Conduct and document detailed inspections, plan and execute necessary upgrades for client irrigation systems, ensuring adherence to production and maintenance schedules.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain vehicles in working order, including scheduled maintenance.
• Assist in the development and training of crew members, ensuring accurate crew time logs, tracking materials and time on service work orders, and submitting daily reports to the department manager, following established processes.
• Interact with clients and the public in a friendly and polite manner, addressing client concerns and identifying cost-saving measures and efficient work methods.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma and a minimum of three years of progressive commercial irrigation experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Knowledge of pump stations, including centrifugal and submersible systems, is a plus.
• Understanding of material requirements in relation to volume and duration.
• Knowledge of program controllers for scheduling watering days, start times, and zone run times.
• Ability to adjust or change spray and rotor nozzles for uniform precipitation rates across zones.
• Skill in repairing, replacing, and relocating sprinkler heads, mainlines, timers, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshooting backflow systems, experience in estimating and job costing.
• Essential knowledge and recent experience with trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing.
• The ability to maintain a positive image as a representative of the company.
• Effective communication, both oral and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
