About the role: 
Responsible as a lead for the receiving inspection team that oversees inspections for raw materials, top assemblies and finished goods. The Production Control Coordinator will provide an independent, unbiased evaluation of materials or the work of others. The results of the coordinator's evaluations are documented and communicated to organizational stakeholders with an interest in the evaluation's outcome - typically, this is supplier development and/ or manufacturing. The coordinator will also be assisting with team training on material flow coming in and out to the Dock such as MMF, that may be a HOT material. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

    Plans and coordinates material requirements and requests for production. 
    Analyzes component availability and inventory.
    Procures components and materials as required through buyers/SQE communication.
    Coordinates and expedites material delivery and preparation.
    May coordinate shipping of materials between manufacturing/sister sites.
    Responsible with help on F2QNS and MRBs
    Responsible of double-checking inspections of their team products and guiding them if needed.
    Will assist with team training and scheduling.
    Will use inspection devices such as force gauges, pin gauges, ring gauges, micrometers, calipers, torque gauges, pressure gauges, rulers, and optical comparators.
    Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
    Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
    Lead audits materials or the work of others through the examination, inspection, measurement, or test of raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and documentation.
    Documents the non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to standards (i.e., manufacturing documentation, material/ component specifications, operating procedures, and domestic/ international standards) through the identification of unsuccessful audits, the completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing his or her mark (i.e., stamp, sign-off or signature).
    Handle discrepant materials per the documented disposition and document activities in the appropriate systems or paperwork.
    Communicate with team on the status of audit metrics and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties verbally and through the completion and publishing of periodic reports.
    Performs statistical analysis through the collection and input of data into software applications or manual calculations.
    Issues, stores, count and maintains inventory into the different storage areas. Handles, disposes, transfer, and document appropriately hazardous waste. Perform environmental monitoring (Puerto Rico).
    Reads, comprehends, and follows basic job instructions and/or protocols including verbal, written, diagramed, colored, etc., and other work-related documents; written in English.
    In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
    Solid knowledge of the job. Applies broad knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices and a general understanding of department fundamentals.
    Performs routine and some non-routine assignments using standard methods and sequences. Adjusts, modifications, and replacements to set processes as directed. Assignments require limited judgment in troubleshooting proven processes.
    Close to moderate supervision. Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
    Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.
    Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.
    For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable.
    Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
    Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
    Other duties as assigned.

 

Required qualifications: 
    AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline
    4 years of related experience

 

Preferred Requirements: 
    Must be skilled in SAP and computer works, along with Excel, Words, and Outlook.
    Experience in training others on inspection process
    Should be able to interpret and understand drawing specifications, tolerances, procedures for inspection and the application of sampling plans. 
    Should have the ability to use inspection devices such as force gauges, pin gauges, ring gauges, micrometers, calipers, torque gauges, pressure gauges, rulers and optical comparator. 

 

Physical Requirements: 
    Should be able to lift, carry and pull objects up to 50 lbs.
