This role supports daytime clients with working hours with evening shift flexibility. The following licensures are encouraged:

  • ACMHC -Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor

  • CMHC- Clinical Mental Health Counselor

  • AMFT- Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

  • LMFT- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

  • CSW- Certified Social Worker

  • LCSW- Licensed Clinical Social Worker

The Purpose of Your Role

The Outpatient Clinician I supports and ensures the team and clients function safely, effectively, and efficiently to promote the best quality and output standards. They support scheduling, specific department task completion, inter-department communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, customer service concerns, and time and priority management. They collaborate with the leadership team to ensure the maintenance of treatment fidelity, company policy and procedure, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs intake and ongoing mental health assessments, including differential diagnosis
  • Maintains a minimum outpatient caseload based on the current corporate designated caseload capacity
  • Actively engages with clients through clinical interactions, development of skills, and clinical interventions
  • Oversees the psychotherapeutic intervention provided to a client during treatment for OCD and other mental health disorders, including case conceptualization, development of treatment plan, skills coaching, and adherence to treatment protocol
  • May facilitate individual sessions, family sessions, and groups with facility’s evidence-based protocol
  • Maintains all written documentation such as progress notes, group therapy notes, intake assessments, etc. promptly with a basic knowledge of computer and typing skills
  • Proficient in utilizing de-escalation techniques, crisis planning, and incident and behavior management
  • Cross-trains in protocol and program types to assist with clinical needs (Little OP, MHAP, youth clients, and/or trauma)
  • Works collaboratively with the leadership, clinical, and administrative teams to resolve customer service issues and scheduling needs
  • Maintains a safe and clean treatment environment
  • Works closely with the leadership team to implement programming needs
  • Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team at TOATC and with client’s external providers
  • Takes an active role in supporting and modeling TOATC business processes that are both current and in development while supporting and cultivating a positive culture on their team
  • Provides validation in a warm, safe environment and keeps clients motivated to work through distress and eliminate neutralizing behaviors
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Presents self in a professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned

The Skills and Expertise You Have:

  • Master's degree or higher in social work, clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field
  • Independent License in the practicing state
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software
  • Accurate and efficient electronic data entry
  • Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance
  • Organized, detail-oriented, takes initiative, and completes job responsibilities independently
  • Multitask, problem-solve, interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a changing work environment including inside, outside, and loud noise level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy experience
  • OCD and anxiety experience
  • Ability to facilitate therapy with all ages
