At Comprehensive Neuromonitoring, we believe that delivery of quality patient care begins with a highly trained intraoperative neuromonitoring team experienced in monitoring neurosurgical, orthopedic, otolaryngology, general, vascular and peripheral surgery. Our board-certified technologists are supported by internal training and interpreting professionals with many years of experience in the intraoperative neuromonitoring field.

Comprehensive Neuromonitoring is looking to expand into the Phoenix market and the need for a full-time Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist is growing.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Must obtain a minimum of an Associates degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the neuromonitoring field.

Requirements:

- Certification or licensure as a Technologist
- Proficiency in performing vital signs and diagnostic evaluations
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience operating CT scanners and other imaging equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible to the Supervising Physician or his/her designated leader.
  • Responsible for set-up, monitoring, and charting during surgery that IONM is used.
  • Responsible for assisting in the inventory and stocking of all supplies and equipment used for IONM.
  • Responsible for assisting in the cleaning of all equipment and maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Responsible for ancillary duties may include typing reports, copying, returning calls, and obtaining pertinent patient information (pre and post operatively).
  • Responsible for “on-call” coverage for IONM and/or back up assistance for emergency procedures with response time as acceptable.
  • Demonstrates commitment to and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and policies across the organization.

Work Location: In person

Job duties include:

- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
- Capture and analyze diagnostic images to assist in patient diagnosis
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and legal documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Requires initiative, judgment and dependability in completing work assignments. Displays well-developed organizational skills, priority setting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Information Management Skills – This job requires computer and systems competency in the following areas: Enters data; Retrieves data; uses and analyzes data.

Required to stand for periods of time exceeding 60 minutes.
