Description of Position
A Registered Investment Advisor based in the Southern Tier of New York is looking to add the position of Investment Trader. This individual will work within the investment committee and will complete all necessary trading functions, predominantly focusing on equity, fixed income, and cash management trading.
Responsibilities
· This position is responsible for start to finish trade fulfilment which entails trade and allocation building, review, and execution.
· Complete on a daily basis, separate account trade flow and/or block activity with an emphasis on best execution.
· Maintain trading software and database through collaboration with operations team, and Advent support.
· Assist ad-hoc with various Investment Committee related tasks
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Experience working within the wealth management services or RIA industry
Strong time management skills and attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt and react to varying situations and collaborate within a larger team of analysts, account and portfolio managers, and client servicing and operational staff.
Desired
Educational background in computer science, accounting, business, finance, economics preferred
Familiarity with Advent, Moxy or other industry specific account management, order entry and allocation, and trade execution software.
Experience with Schwab Advisor Center is helpful.
Advanced Excel, Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or FactSet
Programming knowledge can be a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
